2026 Trek Theme
"Behold my Spirit is upon you, wherefore all thy words will I justify; and the mountains shall flee before you, and the rivers shall turn from their course; thou shalt abide in me, and I in you; therefore walk with me."
About This Theme
The theme for our 2026 trek is drawn from the 2026 Youth Theme of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints: "Walk with Me". This scripture is an invitation from the Savior — a personal call to each of us to walk beside Him through every difficulty, every mountain, and every uncertain trail.
As youth pull handcarts across the terrain of Deseret Land and Livestock Ranch, they'll feel in a small but real way what the early pioneers experienced. The promise in this scripture is the same for us today: when we walk with the Savior, no mountain is too steep, no river too wide, no challenge too great.
"All thy words will I justify"
The Lord validates our efforts. When we do our best — when we show up, press forward, and trust Him — He honors that. He justifies our labors.
"The mountains shall flee before you"
Obstacles that seem immovable yield to faith. The pioneers found this to be literally and spiritually true. So will you.
"Thou shalt abide in me, and I in you"
The trek is designed to deepen your relationship with Jesus Christ — to help you feel that He is with you, and that you are with Him.
"Therefore walk with me"
This is His personal invitation to each youth, each Ma and Pa, each leader. He asks us not to follow from a distance, but to walk beside Him.
