About the Trek
Pioneer trek is a four-day experience where youth reenact the journey of early Latter-day Saint pioneers who pulled handcarts across the plains. More than a history lesson, trek is a spiritual journey designed to help each youth draw closer to Jesus Christ, build lasting friendships, and discover that they can do hard things.
Participants are organized into "trek families" — each led by a Ma and Pa. One company will make the journey together, with each family comprising about 8 youth. Days are filled with miles of trekking, and evenings feature devotionals, testimony meetings, speakers, talent shows, square dancing, and pioneer games.
"Experience that you can do hard things — and that you don't do them alone."
