Relief Society sisters

Purpose

The Relief Society is the women's organization of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Founded in 1842, it is one of the oldest and largest women's organizations in the world. Relief Society helps women and their families increase faith in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, strengthen individuals and families through sacred ordinances and covenants, and work in unity to help those in need.

What We Do

  • Sunday Meetings: Sisters gather each Sunday for a lesson focused on the gospel of Jesus Christ, drawing from the words of living prophets and scriptures.
  • Ministering: Sisters are assigned as ministering companions to watch over, care for, and strengthen one another.
  • Service: Relief Society organizes service opportunities to help those in need within the stake and surrounding community.
  • Activities: Regular activities foster friendship, learning, and fun, including service projects, enrichment nights, and social events.
  • Compassionate Service: When members face illness, loss, or other challenges, the Relief Society mobilizes to provide meals, support, and love.

Who Can Participate

All women ages 18 and older are members of Relief Society. Young women who are 18 or who have graduated from high school transition from Young Women into Relief Society. All women are welcome to attend regardless of membership status.
