Learning and teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ together

Sunday School

Purpose

The purpose of Sunday School is to help individuals and families learn and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Through gospel learning and discussions, members build faith in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, and strengthen their testimonies.

What We Do

  • Gospel Learning: Classes provide a setting where members can learn the gospel, strengthen their faith, and seek revelation together.
  • Teacher Council Meetings: We provide training and support for all teachers in the ward to help them follow the Savior's example of teaching.
  • Come, Follow Me: Classes support and encourage home-centered gospel study using the Come, Follow Me curriculum.

Who Can Participate

All youth and adults ages 11 and older are invited to participate in Sunday School classes. Classes are typically organized by age groups for youth, and a combined class for adults, to best meet the needs of all members.

"And as all have not faith, seek ye diligently and teach one another words of wisdom; yea, seek ye out of the best books words of wisdom; seek learning, even by study and also by faith." — Doctrine and Covenants 88:118
